The Roots.
What once started inside a former Coral betting shop has grown into one of Tilehurst's most cherished local spots. We even transformed an old car wash into a lush, cozy outdoor garden for you to relax in. We've poured our hearts into building this space, and we're just getting started. Chapter II
The Owners.
At the heart of it all is a family: a husband, wife, and their three wonderful daughters. It started with a dream and a vision, and it has been an absolute privilege to help them bring it to life. Through endless resilience, meticulous attention to detail, and extraordinary patience along the way, they have shaped this restaurant into the warm space you see today. Every step of this journey, missteps included, brought us here, and we wouldn't change a single moment.
Chapter III
The Team.
Over the years, many wonderful faces have walked through our doors. Some have stayed, some have moved on, but every single person has left their mark on shaping Vesuvio Pizzeria. Led by Augusto, our General Manager, and George, our Head Chef, we're proud to work alongside a team that shares one common goal: serving incredible food with genuine, heartfelt hospitality. Teammates may come and go as life unfolds, but the core dream of Vesuvio will forever remain the same.
Chapter IV
Today.
Here we are, almost four years later, with a dream even bigger than our pizza oven! We're constantly striving to grow and make Vesuvio the best it can possibly be, and yet it still feels like we're just getting started. To every single one of you who has supported us, shared your feedback, or pulled up a chair over the years: thank you. So many of you have become true friends along this journey, and from the bottom of our hearts, the entire Vesuvio Pizzeria team sends a massive thank you.
